About the groomer

Hi! My name is Michelle, I am the owner and groomer of Fancy Pawz Mobile Pet Salon. I have 15 years of experience as a dog groomer, starting as a high school student, at a local veterinary clinic.

After High School, I decided to further my education, and become a professional groomer. I attended a 1 year grooming program, that covered all breed dog grooming, business management and marketing. I graduated with an Ontario Vocational School Diploma.

After graduation, I was offered a position with The Pet Supply House, and worked there while preparing to start my own grooming business. I then returned to the clinic I worked at during High School, as their full time groomer. From there I was offered the position of Shelter Manager at the Cayman Humane Society in the Cayman Islands.

I moved to Grand Cayman, where I met my husband, and our 2 boys were born. In 2005, we moved to Nova Scotia, and I worked for 2 local veterinary clinics.

In early 2010, I decided I wanted to go back to dog grooming, but I wanted to offer a unique experience, and started researching opportunities. It was then I made the decision to go mobile. I purchased the Fancy Pawz truck in Toronto, and returned home to start my business. I am thoroughly enjoying my work, and I am excited to meet you and your fur-kids!
